Christians begin to flee Egypt

A growing number of Egypt’s 8-10 million Coptic Christians are looking for a way to get out as Islamists increasingly take advantage of the nationalist revolution that toppled long-standing dictator Hosni Mubarak in February.

Secretary-General of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) issues a fatwa AGAINST Democracy

AMJA is the organization that ruled there can be no ‘rape’ in marriage, because a wife is obliged to meet all her husband’s demands for sexual relations. This is the same application of shari’a law that a New Jersey judge used for his ruling in 2009 that a Muslim husband who was raping his wife had not committed a crime.

Egypt to revise all foreign gas deals, including Israel's

CAIRO — Egypt's prime minister has asked for the revision off all contracts to supply gas abroad, including to Israel, the official news agency MENA reported on Wednesday.

Egypt supplies an estimated 40 percent of Israel's gas in what, under ousted president Hosni Mubarak, was a highly controversial deal.

Prime Minister Essam Sharraf "has directed the revision and review of all gas contracts Egypt agreed to with all countries, including Jordan and Israel," MENA said.

The contracts are to be revisited so the gas "would be sold with deserved prices that achieve the highest returns for Egypt," it added.

Teach, your children well hate…and they’ll become good jihadists. via ‘Israel absent, solely negative presence in PA textbooks’.

The Palestinian Authority still has a long way to go before textbooks in its schools begin to teach true coexistence with Israeli Jews, according to findings from a study released Tuesday.
The Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-SE), which reviews textbooks from Israel, the Arab world and Iran, unveiled its 2011 report on PA school textbooks in a briefing with journalists at the headquarters of MediaCentral, in Jerusalem.

Translating Jihad

Translated from an excerpt of an interview with Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, posted on his website 7 April 2011:
Q: Would you accept the next president of Egypt being a Christian or secularist?
A: I think that this question is unrealistic, for we suppose that the era of election fraud has passed, never to return. But if the elections were free and clean, then it would be logical and natural for the president of Egypt to be a practicing Muslim, not a secularist or a Christian. This is because the majority of the people are practicing Muslims, and would not choose secularism, because secularism is, as Dr. Muhammad al-Bahi said: "Belief in part of the Qur'an, and disbelief [kufr] in part of it." In this era of revolution, the Christian will reach an understanding with his Muslim brother to choose a Muslim president. For the president in Islam is the Imam who leads the people in prayer, and is the teacher in the mosque, and guardian of the entire nation--both Muslims and Christians--according to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. [The Muslim] is more fit for the presidency than the secularist, and more concerned for the religion and life of the Christians.
