A Palestinian state by September?

A Palestinian state by September?

Israelis are growing anxious over the international community’s renewed rush to impose a peace settlement on Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. And the world’s impatience is being fueled by Palestinian threats to unilaterally declare statehood in September, even in the absence of a final status peace deal.
Palestinian leaders have publicly announced that they will declare independence in September and seek UN recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state.

“The admission of Palestine as a member t the United Nations has become an inevitable reality in September next,” Israeli Arab lawmaker Ahmed Tibi told Palestinian Authority reporters on Tuesday. Before he became an Israeli Knesset member, Tibi was an advisor to former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

The UN itself on Tuesday suggested Tibi’s assessment is more than wishful thinking when it declared that the Palestinian Authority is capable and ready to function as an independent state, and is only being held back by the “Israeli occupation.”

Alhamdillullah [Praise allah]: Hezbollah Leader Fadlallah Dies on Independence Day; “Moderates” Praise Dead Terrorist Chief

July 4, 2010, - 2:55 pm

By Debbie Schlussel

Na, na, na, na;  Na, na, na, na;  Hey, hey .  .  . Good-bye! It’s a 4th of July bonus.

Great news as America celebrates its birthday and independence from England:  Hezbollah spiritual leader, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah is DEAD at age 74 or 75 (depending on the news source).  Buh-bye.  On the State Department terrorist list, Fadlallah was one of the top terrorists in the world, behind the murders of hundreds of Americans, Jews, and Israelis, in cooperation with his benefactors in Iran, Syria, and his native South Lebanon.  Now, he’s off to 72-dark-eyed-revirginized jehenim [hell]. But what’s significant is that he wasn’t just the leader of a major Islamic terrorist group, but also THE leader of Shi’ite Muslims worldwide, almost all of whom worshipped him and his terrorist activities.

Fadlallah is the man who issued the fatwas okaying the 1983 bombing mass murder of the U.S. Marine barracks and U.S. Embassy in Beirut, killing more than 300 U.S. Marines and officials.  He permitted the torture murders of Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem, Col. Rich Higgins, and CIA attache William Buckley.  Fadlallah’s the one who gave the “go” for the bombing of the Jewish Community Center and Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the 1990s.  And he’s behind a number of murderous, anti-American, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic actions taken by Hezbollah, including the group’s participation in several Al-Qaeda bombings and terrorist attacks against Americans.
Good riddance.  Sadly, he’ll soon be replaced.  The Iranians have a list of candidates ready to be enacted.  I believe that Fadlallah’s sons, Sayyed Ali and Jaafar, are among the top choices.  It will be interesting to see which world leaders and other figures attend Fadlallah’s funeral, set for Tuesday.  Will Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri attend?  Or will they send condolences, which is just as bad.  The so-called “moderate” Hariri has already praised this mass murderer as a “voice of moderation”:

Saad Hariri, the Lebanese prime minister, mourned the loss of “a voice of moderation and an advocate of unity among the Lebanese and Muslims in general”.
Disgusting.  Also, it will be interesting to see if three of Fadlallah’s best American friends–Arab American News publisher and Hezbollah agent Osama Siblani, Imam Hassan Qazwini, and Imam Mohammed Ali Elahi (the latter two head the two largest mosques in North America)–will attend.  All three have hung out with the man and were huge supporters of his.  And all three were constantly feted by Bush and Obama administration officials.
It’s no shocker that among the mourners are members of the Berro family:
“He was like a second father to me,” said Abed Berro, a 28-year-old bank worker, sitting with hundreds of other male mourners inside the mosque that Fadlallah, 74, had built in the mainly Shia southern suburbs of Beirut.
In fact, the Berro family, a prominent Hezbollah Shi’ite terrorist family, has members in Detroit, whose DNA was tested to prove that their cousin, Ibrahim Hussein Berro, was the homicide bomber who blew up the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, which–as I noted above–was one of the many deadly operations Fadlallah sanctioned and approved. As I reported, the same Detroit Berro family was involved in a Bridge Card/Food Stamp fraud ring tied to Hezbollah.
Alhamdillullah [thank, allah].  Ding dong, the wicked witch is dead.
Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, Rot In Hell.

Former charity funded terror group: federal audit

Nearly $15 million of Canadian charitable donations were sent overseas to groups the taxman has labelled terrorist organizations, according to a federal audit obtained by the Toronto Star. The audit states that International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy Canada (IRFAN-Canada) used "deceptive fundraising" to support Hamas. The Canada Revenue Agency announced its decision to revoke the status of the Mississauga-based charity last week. A lawyer for IRFAN-Canada said the charity has appealed the decision. "Canada Revenue Agency's position is really built on a pillar of sand," said Naseer Syed. However, a CRA report states that "IRFAN-Canada is an integral part of an international fundraising effort to support Hamas." Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by Canada, the U.S., the European Union and Israel. Full story: http://www.thestar.com/News/GTA/article/975705

OUTRAGE (Video): Congrats, America! You’re Funding This Sickening Barbarism – THIS. IS. ISLAM.

April 18, 2011, - 2:14 pm

By Debbie Schlussel

Is America really funding the horrific stuff that Libyan “rebels” and “freedom fighter” animals are doing to another human being in this video (so sickening and barbaric that I couldn’t watch the whole thing and won’t post it here)?  Yes, these are the people our CIA is on the ground helping.  These are the barbaric, disgusting, savage animals our Air Force is providing bombing for.  These are the scumbags–the utter cretins–about whom Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy, and Angela Merkel are lecturing us, when they speak of the “legitimate aspirations of the Libyan people.” This despicable sickening video (which probably will soon be yanked from YouTube, but don’t watch unless you have the toughest of stomachs and minds–you will have nightmares forever) is what we are backing. This is what they are. This is what they will always be. They will never change. And if you think this is different than the Islam and the Muslims on U.S. soil, think again. There is nothing unique about them, other than a border distinction without a difference. This is how Muslims treat other Muslims, even fellow Muslims within the same sect of Islam. Think they’ll treat you any better? And remember, these are the animals that the CAIR Action Network et al are supporting.

islamiccrescent.jpg

Islam = Barbarism

These are the Libyan rebels, we are supporting.  And the video shows a crowd of rebels on the streets of Benghazi cheering and beheading a Libyan soldier who surrendered to them, then mutilating his body. They are all filming it on their cellphones as they celebrate. It is so disgusting and outrageous, so Nazi-esque. So despicable beyond belief.  In the video, while they are doing this, they are chanting, “allahu akbar,” “Libya free!” and “For the blood of the martyrs.”   And you can hear them making the “lalalalalalalalalalala” sound, which is a cheer.

Translated from the website of Shaykh bin Fawzan bin 'Abdallah al-Fawzan, a member of Saudi Arabia's Senior Scholars Council, 15 April 2011.

Here Shaykh al-Fawzan explains one of the fundamental differences between Islam and other religions. While Christianity, for example, teaches man to "work out his own salvation with fear and trembling," and then to preach the word to others, Islam goes further than that and requires the Muslim to command others to follow Allah.
...It is not enough for man to be righteous in himself, and learn for himself. That is not enough. Instead he must call others to Allah. He must command the good and forbid the evil. Beginning with his own house and those around him, he must call others to Allah. He must command the good and forbid the evil, and teach people what is good, teach the ignorant. He must call them to Allah, for he cannot limit this only to himself and say, "I have no people under my responsibility." No, you have a duty to call people to the path of Allah, to obedience to Allah Almighty. As much as you are able, you must command the good and forbid the evil. It is not enough for you to avoid evil and work righteousness for yourself. No, you must spread the good around you. The Almighty said: "Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah" [Qur'an 3:110]. [...]

Obama Empire Strikes Back on My PJM ‘Holdergate’ Reporting: ‘We Blame Bush!’

DOJ defends stopping terror finance prosecutions of Islamic leaders by falling back to an old chestnut; Congress is already asking questions.

April 19, 2011 - by Patrick Poole

The initial salvo from my exclusive Pajamas Media article last week revealing that Obama’s Department of Justice dropped the prosecution of some of its Muslim allies is just starting to be fired.

Last Thursday I reported on an interview I conducted with a top DOJ official who said that the pending indictments of several prominent leaders of Islamic organizations close to the Obama administration, including one of the co-founders of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Omar Ahmad, on charges of material support for the terrorist group Hamas were scuttled to avoid embarrassing the Obama administration and to avoid inflaming the Muslim community. My source cited a March 31, 2010, internal DOJ memo from Assistant Attorney General David Kris to Acting Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler effectively dropping the prosecution of Ahmad.

More sharia in Dearborn: Prosecutors file complaint to prevent Koran-burning pastor’s mosque rally

Dearborn is rapidly becoming a place where freedom of speech is not permitted for non-Muslims, and where police, prosecutors and judges enforce Islamic sharia law. via Prosecutors seek to stop rally outside Dearborn mosque by Florida pastor | Detroit Free Press

Concerned about a potential outbreak of violence, Wayne County prosecutors have filed a complaint in court that seeks to compel Florida pastor Terry Jones — who oversaw the burning of a Quran last month — not to rally outside an Islamic center in Dearborn this week.

Jones told the Free Press he intends to come to Dearborn this Friday with others to protest against sharia and jihad, Islamic ideas that he said threaten the U.S.

But Dearborn police and Wayne County prosecutors are trying to convince him that showing up at the Islamic Center of America would endanger his life and public peace. In the court filing, prosecutors and Dearborn police note that Jones has received numerous death threats and a $1.2 million bounty on his head by leaders of Jamaat-ud Dawa, a cover organization for the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Tayyiba.

Do they have members in Dearborn? Or are other members of the religion of peace the concern?

Filed Friday in 19th district court in Dearborn, prosecutors say that if Jones shows up outside the center, “the greatest danger is the likelihood of a riot ensuing complete with the discharge of firearms.”

So prosecutors fear that Muslims will riot and shoot protesters, but instead of planning on enforcing the law in Dearborn, they file a complain to prevent free speech?

Muslim leader Dawud Walid, head of the Michigan branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, criticized the filing, saying it actually aids Jones’ cause.

Walid said he disagrees with prosecutors because “their action innocently played into Jones’ objectives, which is to paint Dearborn as a pro-sharia city that’s oppressing Christians, which is of course not true.”

Walid also said that the court filing inaccurately tries to “equate the actions of zealots in Afghanistan with Muslim-Americans in Dearborn,” which he described as a peaceful community that would not harm Jones.

The court action, considered rare, is called in the filing a “verified complaint to institute proceedings to prevent crime.”

A court date for Jones to appear has been set for Thursday before Dearborn District Judge Mark Sommers.

From legal jihad waged by the prosecutor to the stealth jihad’s favorite reporter – who ran to terror-linked CAIR for comment. Oddly enough, CAIR confirms Dearborn’s image of a pro-sharia city is well-earned.

And Warikoo coyly under-reports on the rioting and murderous rampage by Muslims after Jones’ Koran-burning.

After Jones helped lead a Quran-burning last month in Florida, several UN workers were killed in Afghanistan at the hands of outraged Muslim protestors.

Several UN workers? CBS’ headline, Afghans kill 11 from UN after U.S. Quran burning.
And days later, Two Afghan police killed, 20 wounded in Koran burning protests:

Two policemen were killed and more than 30 people wounded in the southern city of Kandahar on Sunday during the third day of protests across Afghanistan against the burning of a Koran by a militant fundamentalist Christian U.S. pastor, officials said.

Violence at earlier demonstrations claimed more than 20 lives. Ten people were killed and more than 80 wounded in Kandahar on Saturday. Seven foreign U.N. staff and five Afghan protesters were killed on Friday after demonstrators overran an office in normally peaceful Mazar-i-Sharif city in the north.

Dearborn police and prosecutors didn’t have a problem with Muslims burning effigies of Florida pastor Terry Jones, but that is the nature of Islamic sharia law.

Muslims misrepresenting America, but representing Islam well. (Photo via NIRAJ WARIKOO/DFP)
The Freep article mentions another so-called anti-sharia group that quickly succumbed to the whims of Dearbornistan – out of respect for the Christian community. Sounds like someones been had by Chief Haddad. Will Jones relent as well?

Prosecutors Seek to Stop Rally by Florida Pastor Outside Dearborn Mosque

April 18, 2011

By admin

Running like scared children Michigan prosecutors are trying to infringe on Pastor Jones’ right to assemble.

All because they are afraid the the violent aspect of Islam will come to Dearborn. Instead of handing another victory to Islam by bowing down to a religion that calls for our dominance, how about they support our freedoms and provide Pastor Jones with police protection? Unfortunately we are going down the same road as the UK my friends.

Anti-Islam lawmaker's trial on hate speech charges to continue; move to dismiss judges fails

AMSTERDAM — Appeals judges in a hate speech case against anti-Islam Dutch politician Geert Wilders have rejected a defence motion for trial judges to be dismissed because of alleged bias.

Wilders, leader of the country's third-largest political party, is charged with inciting hatred against Muslims with remarks branding Islam as violent by nature.

His lawyers had argued judges were biased after they declined to press perjury charges against a witness whose testimony contradicted earlier public statements.

An appeals panel said Monday the lower court's ruling was not cause for dismissal.
The trial will now go ahead as planned. Trial judges will set a date for the case to continue.

Deadly riots hit north Nigeria as results show Jonathan wins

Results from all of Nigeria's states announced by the electoral commission showed Jonathan had handily beaten his northern rival, ex-military ruler Muhammadu Buhari. The electoral commission was yet to officially declare him the victor.

Returns from all 36 states and the capital showed Jonathan with more than 22 million votes compared to some 12 million for Buhari.

The rioting began after allegations of rigging in Saturday's vote as results showed sharp divisions between the mainly Muslim north and predominantly Christian south of Africa's most populous nation.

Good Friday mosque protest may spur unrest, prosecutors fear

April 19. 2011 1:00AM

Prosecutors say Fla. pastor should pay for added police presence

Oralandar Brand-Williams / The Detroit News

Dearborn — Wayne County prosecutors want a judge to make it more difficult — if not illegal — for a Quran-burning pastor to protest at a local mosque on Good Friday.
Prosecutors on April 15 filed a motion arguing that Florida pastor Terry Jones' planned demonstration at the Islamic Center of America on the Dearborn/Detroit border poses a "likelihood of a riot ensuing, complete with discharge of firearms."

Jones is supposed to appear Thursday in District Court in Dearborn on prosecutors' request to post a "peace bond" to pay for police protection. No amount is specified, but Jones claimed Dearborn police have asked for $100,000 to cover overtime costs.

He called the move to silence him "unconstitutional" and has no intention of paying — or backing down.
"Nothing has changed. Nothing will change," said Jones of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla. "We will definitely be there."

He gained global notoriety last year for threatening to burn a Quran and is blamed for an outbreak of violence in Afghanistan after torching one at his small church in April. In an affidavit attached to the complaint, Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad wrote that he fears Jones could do it again.

"Intelligence received leads me to believe that Pastor Jones will jeopardize the safety of the public by committing an act against the person or property of another in the former of burning a Koran," Haddad wrote.

The complaint claims Jones has received 300 death threats over the protest, is the target of a $1.2 million reward for his assassination from a terrorist group and told police he plans to bring a pistol to protect himself during the Friday afternoon protest at the Ford Road mosque.

Jones said he is coming with a handful of followers to protest extremist Islam and Sharia, the religion's law. He said he's coming to Dearborn because of its large Arab and Muslim populations. The mosque is identified in prosecutors' court papers as the largest in the nation.

"We're talking about the radicalization of Islam in America," Jones said. "We have gotten a lot of reaction about how dangerous it can or will be."
Balancing safety, rights
The prosecutors' petition — "a complaint to institute proceedings to prevent crime" — is believed to be unusual.

University of Detroit Mercy law professor Larry Dubin said it attempts to balance free speech rights and the public's right to be safe.

"There is the competing issue between the lawful protection of the public safety, which would be a valid government interest, and the potential for overbroadening the restriction on his First Amendment rights," Dubin said.

Prosecutors declined comment. The complaint, though, follows numerous efforts to persuade Jones to move the protest to Dearborn's "free-speech zones" — City Hall and the municipal complex — that wouldn't require a permit.

Jones hasn't received a permit for his demonstration. Mary Laundroche, a Dearborn spokeswoman, said city officials are reviewing three to four requests for permits outside the mosque. Some are believed to be counter-protests against Jones, but Laundroche wouldn't elaborate.

"They're still under review by federal, state and county authorities because of public safety concerns," she said.

In the complaint, police and city officials said the mosque on Ford Road isn't public, will cause logistical problems for churches observing services and could pose a threat to nearby schools.

The legal action comes after city officials persuaded another group, the Order of the Dragon, to cancel a protest at City Hall on Friday. The group, whose website vows to "protect our country from the rise of radical Islam," wanted to demonstrate because members believed Dearborn practiced Sharia law.
But the event — which initially drew Jones to Dearborn — was canceled after group leader Frank Fiorello met last week with Dearborn Mayor John O'Reilly and Muslim leaders.

"We understand that Sharia is not enacted," said Fiorello, a Marlette resident.
Clergy stand united
The legal maneuvering comes as efforts by religious leaders intensify to persuade Jones to change his mind.
Religious leaders held a news conference Monday at Greater Mount Tabor Baptist Church on West Chicago and wore T-shirts that read "I Am American … I Am American … I AM American."

"I would call on Terry Jones not to come to Dearborn," said Imam Hassan Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America, at whose mosque Jones is planning to protest. "What he is doing is inciting hatred against Muslims. We do not think what he is doing is helping our community, our society or our country."

Metro Detroit religious leaders plan prayer vigils Thursday and Friday to show solidarity against Jones. A prayer event is planned Thursday at the mosque, while another vigil is planned at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn on Friday before Jones' protest.

The Rev. Edwin Rowe of Central United Methodist Church downtown urged religious leaders and others in Metro Detroit to speak out against Jones.

"This is a violation of Christianity," Rowe said. "This is a violation of Judaism. This is a violation of Hinduism. This is a violation of every major faith in the world."

Qazwini said Jones is trying to provoke Muslims and make money. "I see him fundraising for himself and shopping for more supporters," said Qazwini.

King demands answers from Holder on DOJ decision not to prosecute Hamas-linked CAIR and other unindicted co-conspirators in jihad terror funding case

Patrick Poole revealed several days ago that the DOJ had decided, apparently for political reasons, not to prosecute Omar Ahmad, cofounder and longtime Board Chairman of Hamas-linked CAIR. Now Peter King is demanding answers. I hope he gets them, or failing that, opens an investigation of his own.

"King Demands Answers from Holder on Decision Not to Prosecute CAIR, its Co-Founder, and other Unindicted Co-Conspirators in Holy Land Foundation Case," from the House Committee on Homeland Security, April 18 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):
Washington, D.C. (Monday, April 18, 2011) – U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, has demanded an explanation from Attorney General Eric Holder as to why he decided not to prosecute the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), its co-founder Omar Ahmad, and other named unindicted co-conspirators in the Hamas terror finance case, United States v. Holy Land Foundation. The other unindicted co-conspirators include the Islamic Society of North America and the North American Islamic Trust.
In a letter to Holder, King wrote: “I have been reliably informed that the decision not to seek indictments of the Council on American Islamic Relations (“CAIR”) and its co-founder Omar Ahmad, the Islamic Society of North America (“ISNA”), and the North American Islamic Trust (“NAIT”), was usurped by high-ranking officials at Department of Justice headquarters over the vehement and stated objections of special agents and supervisors of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as the prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Dallas, who had investigated and successfully prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation case. Their opposition to this decision raises serious doubt that the decision not to prosecute was a valid exercise of prosecutorial discretion.”
The signed letter is available at the Committee on Homeland Security website.
The text of the letter sent to Attorney General Holder follows:

U.S. Intervention In Libya Aids the Jihad

Barack Obama has committed American lives to building an Islamic state in Libya.  In making their case for U.S. intervention in Libya, conservatives who support the action generally acknowledge that the biggest problem with it is what may come after Gaddafi.  However, they then dismiss this concern by minimizing the presence of jihadists and Islamic supremacists among the Libyan rebels, and pointing to a U.S. intelligence study that purportedly shows that there is no significant presence of jihadists among the rebels.  Unfortunately, that’s not really true.

A recent Los Angeles Times piece describes a “U.S. intelligence-gathering effort that began shortly after anti-Gaddafi forces started seizing towns in eastern Libya last month” as finding nothing to be concerned about:  It “has not uncovered a significant presence of Islamic militants among the insurgents.”  Coming from an intelligence establishment whose chief, James Clapper, thinks the Muslim Brotherhood is a “largely secular” movement, it’s unclear what value this “U.S. intelligence-gathering effort” really has.  For one thing, what would these U.S. intelligence-gatherers take as evidence of “Islamic militancy”?  Actual membership in al-Qaeda or another jihad group?  That seems to be the implication of the title of the LA Times article:  “ U.S. finds no organized al-Qaeda presence in Libya opposition, officials say.”  But does the absence of an “organized al-Qaeda presence” mean the absence of people who are pro-Sharia and have Islamic supremacist aspirations?  That is unlikely.

Obama Hosts Boss of Terror Channel Al-Jazeera

Cliff Kincaid writing at Accuracy in Media.

President Obama on Thursday hosted Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar, otherwise known as the Boss of Al-Jazeera, for a meeting in the Oval Office. Obama called him“Your Highness” and “His Highness,” even though the Emir dropped his robes of royalty for a business suit. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani financially sponsors Al-Jazeera and its most famous personality, anti-American and anti-Semitic cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has just returned to Egypt from Qatar to supervise the transformation of that one-time U.S. ally into an Islamic state.

The Emir and Obama

“In addition to our efforts in Libya,” Obama said, “we have a strong relationship between our twocountries. It is an economic relationship. It is a military relationship. It is a cultural relationship. And obviously, Qatar has done very well under His Highness’s leadership, but his influence extends beyond his borders. And so we’ve had discussions about how we can continue to promote democracy, human rights, increased freedom and reform throughout the Middle East.”

Celebration of 'unity, harmony and civil discourse' set for April 21

Interfaith prayer vigil at Islamic Center of America

The Interfaith Leadership Council of Metropolitan Detroit will convene an interfaith prayer vigil and silent procession at the Islamic Center of America at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 21, to "affirm our commitment as a community to unity, harmony and civil discourse."

The April 21 ceremony was planned after a Michigan-based extremist group announced plans to demonstrate in Dearborn on Friday, April 22.  That group has since cancelled its plans, but other demonstrations are rumored to be in the works.

"We are inviting clergy and lay people from the metropolitan Detroit region to stand together in the spirit of cooperation and harmony, the essential basis of this great country," according to Robert Bruttell, chair of the Interfaith Leadership Council.

"We are calling on people to reject fear and intolerance, and to embrace the idea of doing to others as we would have them do to us."

The April 21 program will include prayers and short statements from religious leaders representing a wide range of faith traditions throughout the metropolitan region, and a silent procession outside the mosque.

Earlier this month, the Interfaith Leadership Council launched a petition, "A Simple Affirmation for Our Community" which received more than 900 signatures online in its first week, and hundreds more on paper copies being circulated among religious congregations and civic groups throughout the region.

More signatures will be collected during the April 21 ceremony.  Those who want to sign the petition online can find it here

Very Sad: Daniel Viflic, on Israeli School Bus Hit By HAMAS, Murdered @ 16

April 18, 2011, - 2:33 am

Over a week ago, I told you about the HAMAS rocket attack on an Israeli school bus in Israel’s Negev region.  The miracle was that the bus–normally filled with at least 50 kids–had just dropped off all of the 50 children. But Daniel Viflic, a 16-year-old boy, who would normally not be on that bus but for a visit to see his grandmother, was on the bus.  Viflic was critically injured, and fighting to survive.  Sadly, he died Sunday, yet another innocent Israeli victim of Islamic terrorism.  (In the picture, below, he is wearing a black hat because that is the traditional garb of some Orthodox Jews.)  His funeral was held on Sunday Night in the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh [House of the Sun]. Yes, about that peace process Barack Obama and the others keep pushing, this is what HAMAS means by “peace”:

Muslim Brotherhood leader talks of applying Sharia law

The Irish Times - Tuesday, April 19, 2011
EGYPT’S MUSLIM Brotherhood has launched a campaign to counter suspicions over the movement’s intentions because of remarks made by a senior figure at a forum in Cairo’s poor, devout Imbaba quarter.

Deputy supreme guide Mahmoud Ezzat said the Brotherhood wanted to transform the country into an Islamic state once its political arm, the Freedom and Justice party, secured widespread popular support.

Al-Masry al-Youm , an independent daily, reported that Sheikh Ezzat also said the movement wanted to apply Muslim canon law (Sharia), but said “enforcement of Sharia punishments will need time and will only come after Islam is planted in every heart and masters the life of the people . . .”

Muslim Brotherhood-founded student group whitewashes sharia at OSU

via Muslim student group shares meaning behind Sharia, way of life – The Lantern – Campus.

Dressed in traditional Muslim garb, Mufti Abdullah Nana explained the mystery behind Sharia to an audience of Muslims and non-Muslims.

“The entire life of a Muslim can be classified as Sharia,” Nana said.

In the Muslim Student Association-hosted event for Discover Islam Week, Nana explained how many Americans fall victim to ignorance when it comes to understanding Sharia and Islam.

“There is such ignorance that many people have no clue what Islam is,” Nana said. “When the sponsors of the bills were asked what Sharia is, they had no answer,” said Mufti of the anti-Sharia laws that have been introduced in some states.

The Afghan War to Nowhere

In the first years of Operation Enduring Freedom, the United States managed to oversee a campaign that broke the Taliban, drove them out of major cities and regions, including Kabul, and left them dispirited and broken. And did it while taking under 50 casualties a year. But in 2010, the United States suffered almost ten times as many casualties as it did in the toughest battles of the early days of the war.

The differences between the US involvement in Afghanistan in 2001-2003 and 2005-2011 are tremendous and profound. And they explain the ugly death toll and the nature of the unwinnable war as it's being fought today.

In 2001-2002, we barreled into Afghanistan on a mission to break the Taliban and kill or capture as many Al Qaeda as possible. We employed maximum firepower so casually that the fleeing Taliban fighters were thoroughly demoralized. So much so that it took them years to even seriously think about confronting us again.

(UPDATED) DOJ Source: Gov’t Muslim ‘Outreach’ Jeopardized Active Terror Investigations

(UPDATE: Rep. Peter King demands answers following Poole's previous article on this topic.) An explosive, must-read interview brings sunlight to our counterproductive "outreach" programs. The case of the missing Somali men from Minneapolis highlights the failure and the absurdity.

UPDATE: On the heels of last week’s article by Patrick Poole, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) has sent a letter to Eric Holder this morning demanding answers as to why the Department of Justice decided not to prosecute CAIR, its co-founder Omar Ahmad, and others regarding the Holy Land Foundation case.

————————————–

The nearly six-hour interview I conducted earlier this year with a top Department of Justice official on the condition of anonymity brought forth a number of revelations about serious problems within the U.S. government’s homeland security and law enforcement community.

Last Thursday, I reported here exclusively at PJM on a DOJ memo dated March 31, 2010, from Assistant Attorney General David Kris to Acting Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler. The memo effectively ended the prosecution of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) co-founder and Chairman Emeritus Omar Ahmad — in addition to the prosecution of other prominent American Muslim leaders — for helping support the Hamas terrorist organization. This decision, according to my source, was not made based on the overwhelming evidence that had been compiled over the past decade by the U.S. attorney’s office in Dallas, but was made due to potential political embarrassment for the Obama administration and out of fear of inflaming the American Muslim community.
